OFFICIAL TRANSACTIONS
QB Jeff Garcia has signed with Tampa Bay to compete with Chris Simms and Bruce Gradkowski for the starting spot.

RB Travis Henry has been released form the Titans.

RB Sammy Morris has been signed by the Patriots.

RB Marcel Shipp has resigned with the Cardinals to be Edggerin James back up again.

WR Ashley Lelie has signed with the 49ers. Finally, he’s found a team where he will likely be content with the amount of balls thrown his way. Obviously, he doesn’t care much about winning ball games.

WR Drew Bennett has signed with the Rams.

WR Dennis Northcutt has signed with Jacksonville, most likely to serve as a back up.

WR Wes Welker has signed an offer sheet with the Patriots. The Dolphins have a week to match the offer the 6-yr, $38.5 million deal. If they elect not to, Miami will receive New England’s second round pick (60th overall) in this year’s draft.

T John Stinchcomb has signed with New Orleans.

T Ephiram Salaam has re-upped with the Texans.

LB Adalius Thomas has signed with the Patriots.

CB Fred Smoot has returned to the Redskins after a two-year stint with the Vikings.

WORD ON THE STREET
The Lions are meeting with T.J. Duckett on Sunday and could be looking to trade newly acquired RB Tatum Bell.

RB Corey Dillon has let it be known the he would like to play for either the Jets or Ravens. Lets see how that mid-field handshake works out next season if Dillon inks with the Jets.

The Broncos and Bills are discussing a trade that would send RB Willis McGahee to Denver in exchange for a third round pick.

The Falcons are interested in WR Joe Horn, just what the doctor ordered for Michael Vick.

The NFC East is battling for the rights to T Leonard Davis as the Giants, Cowboys and Redskins are said to be in the running.

The Browns, Benglas and Dolphins are interested in Joey Porter.
