Cardinals quarterback Kurt Warner told his coach that he felt no more pain than normal in his injured left arm, which needed a brace during Sunday's game because of torn ligaments in his elbow. "It seems like he felt OK," Ken Whisenhunt told the Arizona Republic. "I talked to him . . . and there was no mention of him being uncomfortable. He took some shots and got tackled and came through it well, so I think two weeks from now he will physically be feeling a lot better."
Mancini's Take: Warner is making an improbable comeback this year. I mean, who expected this? Warner's resurgence is like something out of a Hollywood script where the old washed up quarterback makes a deal with God and asks him for one last chance to play and go out like a champion. You have to admire Warner's persistence.
Mandel's Take: I watched Warner against the Redskins, and the one word I'd use to sum up his effort is: gutsy. He's got the bye week to heal, then a big game at Tampa which--and I know it's early--somehow has playoff implications.
